1. Thoroughly clean the substrate so it is free of all
foreign materials such as bond breakers, curing agents, form
release oils, dust, construction laitance, drywall residue
etc. The surface should be dry before proceeding.
2. Use a low pressure sprayer to apply the
Sher-Crete Dust & Salt Protectant.
Apply to rejection.
3. Apply enough
Sher-Crete Dust & Salt Protectant
to form a uniformly wet
surface. Keep the surface wet for 20 minutes. If the area
dries out apply more product. Apply when surface and air
temperature are between 40F to 100F. In hot, dry or windy
conditions dampen concrete before application to prevent
flash drying.
4. As the product dries spread any puddles using an
exploded bristle broom.
5. A light residue may form on the surface after it is
dry. This is excess product and it can be removed with a
stiff bristle broom, or a burnisher. If chemical resistance
to food acids or oils is desired apply the Sher-Crete Sealer
for Stained or Polished Concrete (Formerly Sher-Guard).
